HODGES, SALLIE R. ROCKY MOUNT, VA - Mrs. Sallie Rebecca Hunt Hodges, age 88, died Friday, March 2, 1990 at Eldercare of Franklin County. She was preceded in death by her husband, Doctor Peter Hodges, on Jan. 22, 1990. She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Hazel and Kemper Lumpkins, Rocky Mt.; six sons and daughters-in-law, Raymond and Isabelle Hodges; George Hodges; Lenford and Sally Hodges; Hensil and Martha Jane Hodges, all of Rocky Mt.; James and Geneva Hodges, Ferrum; Edgar and Eunice Hodges, Penhook; and Mildred Radford, Hardy; 21 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-grandson; one sister, Mrs. Nannie Dora Hodges, Martinsville; two half sisters, Mrs. Rachel Dickerson, Danville; and Mrs. Ann Brooks, Roanoke; six half brothers, Oliver Hunt; Glenard Hunt; Maynard Hunt; and Roger Hunt, all of Rocky Mt.; Clark Hunt, Martinsville; and Floyd Hunt, Penhook. Funeral services will be conducted on Sunday at 3:00 p.m. at the Arrington Bussey Chapel, by the Rev. Jack W. Corvin. The family suggests memorials be made to the Doe Run Christian Church or the Glade Hill Rescue Squad. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the Arrington Bussey Funeral Home in Rocky Mt.
