HYLTON, VICTOR M. FLOYD - Victor Merie Hylton, 58, passed away Friday, March 2, 1990, in a Salem hospital. He was a retired chief forest warden of Floyd County, a veteran of the Korean Conflict and a member of the American Legion. He was also a charter member of the Floyd County Rescue Squad and a life time member of the Floyd County Volunteer Fire Department. He is survived by his wife, Mildred Harris Hylton; one son, Earnest Hylton, Willis; two daughters, Joyce Sowers, Fae Boothe, both of Floyd; his mother, Susan E. Hylton, Meadows of Dan; one brother, Leonard Hylton, Meadows of Dan; one sister, Christine Nester, Meadows of Dan; seven grandchildren, two stepgrandchildren. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Sunday March 4, at the Maberry Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Nathan Montgomery and the Rev. J. C. Willard officiating. Burial will be in Jacksonville Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Saturday at the Maberry Funeral Home.
