RADFORD, SAMUEL W.

PULASKI - Samuel Wilson Radford, age 77, of 609 Hickory Avenue, Pulaski, died Friday night in the Radford Community Hospital. He was born in Floyd County, Va., August 15, 1912. He was preceded in death by his wife, Anna Belle Conner Radford. He attended the Bob White Boulevard Church of God in Pulaski. Mr. Radford moved to Pulaski in 1943 and retired in 1977 from Burlington Mills, having 34 years of service. Surviving are his son, James W. Radford, Sr. and daughter-in-law, Betty Lee Radford, both of Christiansburg; grandson, James W. Radford, Jr. and wife, Lynn Ann Radford and great-grandchildren, Lisa Lynn Radford and James W. Radford, III, all of Christiansburg; granddaughter, Donna Lee Radford of Glen Burnie, Md. and great-granddaughter, Michelle Nicole Radford; granddaughter, Connie Lynn Harless and husband, Darrell Bradley Harless, great-grandson, Jason Bradley Harless, all of Glen Burnie, Md.; two sisters, twin sister, Beulah Nichols, Boones Mill; Effie McAvoy and husband, James G. McAvoy, Boones Mill. Funeral services will be held Monday at 11:00 a.m. from the Bob White Boulevard Church of God with the Rev. James D. Weaver officiating. Burial will follow at 1:00 p.m. from the Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, Roanoke. Visiting will be Sunday evening at Stevens Funeral Home in Pulaski, where the family will receive friends from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Arrangements by Stevens Funeral Home, Pulaski.
