He was a cadet captain and battalion commander of the Virginia Military Institute class of 1930. He also attended to the school of business administration at Harvard University. He served on the boards of directors of Dominion Bank and Bedford Memorial Hospital.
Among survivors are his wife, Maxwell Phillips Dudley Davidson; a son, Dr. Jesse T. Davidson III of Roanoke; and a daughter, Gene Dahmen of Chestnut Hill, Mass.
Graveside services will be conducted at Greenwood Cemetery at noon Monday by Dr. William F. Quillian, president emeritus of Randolph Macon Women's College and Rev. Reginald H. Potts.
