CITY KEEPS PACE WITH CHILDREN'S NEEDS

I RECENTLY attended Highland Park School's PTA meeting and was very impressed. Schools have gone through dramatic changes over the years, but it seems Roanoke is keeping up with the changing demands and needs of today's children.

The school offers many new and innovative learning concepts not found in the average school setting. In particular, I noticed the Discovery Lab and the Lego Lab. These offer manipulative learning concepts that seem to be overlooked in a normal textbook. N.L. PARKER ROANOKE
