CRISIS PREGNANCY CENTERS ARE FREE

KATHY HAYNIE'S letter Feb. 13 states that Planned Parenthood offers affordable, accessible and professional health-care services.

Planned Parenthood offers no health care other than that related to sex, and beneath the affordability are the federal, state, and local government taxpayer's dollars. Contrast this with Crisis Pregnancy Centers, which offer all services free of charge. These centers offer free pregnancy testing, counseling, referrals other than abortion, childbirth classes, and physical or spiritual help upon request.

The volunteers are trained and undergo continuous monthly training at their own expense. The Crisis Pregnancy Center board consists of lawyers, physicians and other professionals.

I would suggest anyone wanting facts read "Aborting Planned Parenthood," by Robert H. Ruff, and "Grand Illusion" by George Grant. These books are documented, and the authors have not been sued for their disclosures. ROSALYN C. HARRELL ROANOKE
