WATER LINE FLUSHING BEGINS TODAY

The Blacksburg Public Works Department is flushing water lines in various areas of town. The schedule:

\ Today-Sunday: South of Harding Avenue and east of South Main.

\ Tuesday: North of Harding Avenue and east of North Main.

\ Thursday and Friday: North of Prices Fork Road and west of North Main.

\ March 17-18: South of Prices Fork Road and west of South Main.

Flushing ensures water quality and maintains the fire hydrant system. It may result in water discoloration for three to five days. If discoloration occurs, tap water should be run to clear sediments. Flushing will be done 9 p.m.-6 a.m. For more information, call 961-1126.
