COVINGTON - Robert Gene Linkenhoker, age 60, of 1935 Arden Street, Covington, died Saturday in Roanoke Memorial Rehabilitation Center. He was born September 5, 1929, in Botetourt County, a son of Mary Dillon Linkenhoker and the late William Linkenhoker. Mr. Linkenhoker was a member of South Covington United Methodist Church. He had been employed as a rate clerk for Wilson Trucking Company- Roanoke Terminal for 30 years and served in the U.S. Army. In addition to his mother, he is survived by five brothers, William M. Linkenhoker, Covington; Warren D. Linkenhoker, Scotts Depot, W.Va.; Richard B. Linkenhoker, Milboro; David P. Linkenhoker, Clifton Forge; Paul D. Linkenhoker, Covington; one sister, Ms. Patricia L. Tucker, Covington. Funeral services will be held Monday at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of the Loving Funeral Home with the Rev. Harold E. Moffitt, Jr. officiating. Interment will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers will be nephews. The family will receive friends Sunday evening from 7:00 to 8:30 at the Loving Funeral Home.
