FRONT ROYAL - Joseph Frank Silek, Sr., age 69, of Front Royal, died Friday at Warren Memorial Hospital. A funeral service will be held Monday at 11:00 a.m. at St. John's Catholic Church, Front Royal. Interment will follow in Prospect Hills Cemetery. Mr. Silek was born July 6, 1920, in Acosta, Pa., the son of the late Frank and Mary Salek Silek. He was a member of St. John's Catholic Church. He was associated with his family business, The Warren Quality Shop, Front Royal, for 52 years. He was also associated with Carole Shop in Roanoke. He is survived by his wife, Evelyn M. Silek; two sons, Joseph F. Silek, Jr., Front Royal; and Samuel S. Silek of Roanoke; three sisters, Thelma Silek of Bedford, Pa.; Sadie Dawahare of Hazard, Ken.; and Ruth Kannon of Franklinton, N.C.; a number of nieces and nephews. The family suggests that contributions be made to the American Cancer Society, Rt. 1 Box 1353, Front Royal, Va. 22630. Arrangements are being handled by the Maddox Funeral Home, Front Royal.
