ARTISTIC STUDENTS RECOGNIZED FOR TALENTS

Several Christiansburg High School students recently won awards for their artistic ability.

Kevin Dellinger's political cartoon was published in the Roanoke Times & World-News after his entry received a first place award.

Junior Casey Cosgriff had a painting published in the current edition of Virginia Writing, an anthology of outstanding student works.

Senior Dawn Brockman received an honorable mention and a monetary award for her self-portrait entry in the Association of American University Women's exhibit at Valley View Mall in Roanoke.

Work by seniors Dawn Brockman, Kevin Dellinger, Leroy Harmon, Suzanne Sawyer and Shannon Costigan and juniors Casey Cosgriff, Rusty Carrol and Lance Moore may be viewed at the New River Valley Fine Arts Center in Pulaski during the month of March.
