ORCHESTRA TO PRESENT FINAL CONCERTS OF SEASON

Four members of the Roanoke Symphony String Quintet will be featured as soloists in the Roanoke Symphony Orchestra's final weekend concerts of the 1989-90 season.

The program will be performed Saturday at 8 p.m. in Franklin County High School, sponsored by the Franklin Guild, and Sunday at 3 p.m. in the Cave Spring High School auditorium.

Victoria Bond will conduct.

Violinist Jane Wang, an original member of the quintet, will be soloist on the first movement of the Violin Concerto in E Minor, Op. 64, of Felix Mendelssohn.

The program will conclude with a performance of Franz Schubert's Symphony No. 5 in B Flat.

Tickets to the Franklin County performance are $10 in advance and $12 at the door. Students tickets are $3. Tickets are available at the high school in Rocky Mount, at Ferrum College and in a number of banks in the county.

Tickets to the Roanoke concert are $10 and $12, with a 50 percent discount for students and senior citizens. They can be bought at the orchestra office or at the door on the day of the concert. The office is at 111 W. Campbell Ave. in downtown Roanoke.
