RICE, ELIZABETH T.\ EMORY, VIRGINIA - Mrs. Elizabeth Taylor Rice, age 85, widow of Charles Judson Rice, died Thursday, March 15, 1990 in East Ridge, Tenn. She was formerly of Emory, Va., and was a member of South Fork Baptist Church. She was fondly known as "Mom Rice" while running the bookstore at Emory & Henry College. She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. June R. Brown, Ooltewah, Tenn.; and Mrs. Anne R. Carter, Orange, Calf.; three sons, Robert A. Rice, Hermitage, Tenn.; William D. Rice, Bluff City, Tenn.; and Joe R. Rice, Marion; 12 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Sunday at 2:00 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel. Burial will follow in Holsten Conference Cemetery in Emory. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel.
