ARMENTROUT, MARY E.\ NATURAL BRIDGE - Mary Ellen Armentrout, age 79, died Friday, March 16, 1990, in the Stonewall Jackson Hospital. She was born October 3, 1910, in Dryden, Va. She was a member of the High Bridge Presbyterian Church; the Eastern Star, Buchanan Chapter; and the Rockbridge Retired Teachers Association. Mrs. Armentrout worked for many years in the Rockbridge County School Systems. Surviving are her husband, Lewis Smith Armentrout, Natural Bridge; two sister, Mrs. Joe Myers, Pennington Gap; Mrs. Haze Lucas, Dryden; nine nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Sunday, March 18, 1990, at the High Bridge Presbyterian Church with Chaplain Robert K. Wilson officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family suggests memorial donations be made to the High Bridge Presbyterian Church Scholarship Fund. The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. Saturday, at the Harrison Funeral Home, Lexington.
