My family and I have operated this store in full compliance with regulations regarding the sale of alcoholic beverages. Besides complying with state liquor laws, we have on numerous occasions called the police complaining about people loitering on or near our business. Sunnyside Market is not the cause of people drinking and urinating in public, passing out in neighborhood alleys and causing other disturbances, as alleged by residents.
ABC agent Will Goodman told residents that if they were going to live here for "a while," then it's a fight worth fighting. Well, Sunnyside Market intends to be in business in Old Southwest for "a while" and intends to defend and preserve its good name as a good business, a good friend, and an enthusiastic supporter of all productive efforts on behalf of the Old Southwest area.\ V.
