FERRELL, MIKE A.\ PEARISBURG - Mike A. Ferrell, age 84, formerly of Coal Mountain, W.Va., died Saturday, March 17, 1990, in a Blacksburg, Va. hospital. Born at Sprigg, W.Va., he was the son of the late George W. and Octavia Maynard Ferrell. He was a retired coal miner. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Corby E. Paynter Ferrell; one son, Mitchel (Mickey) E. Ferrell; two brothers, Oliver and George Ferrell; one sister, Laura Smoot. Surviving are his wife, Lena Fisher Ferrell; four sons, Donald E. Ferrell; Raleigh, N.C.; Kenneth G. Ferrell, Oceana, W.Va.; Jerry L. Ferrell, Richmond; Larry R. Ferrell, Hurt; ten grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; several stepchildren and their families. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. in the Williams-Jamison-Kendall Funeral Home, Pembroke, with the Rev. Robert Putt officiating. Burial will be Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. in Rosewood Memorial Gardens in Virginia Beach, Va. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m.
