RU STUDENTS TO MARCH IN EARTH DAY KICKOFF

Down to Earth, a group of Radford University students, will take part in "March for Parks," a national kickoff for the 1990 Earth Day celebration and a support effort for protection of U.S. parks and historic sites Saturday at Mountain Lake. The three-mile hike will begin at 11 a.m.

Kimberly Spradlin, spokeswoman, said 15 to 20 volunteers are expected to participate. Individuals and local businesses are providing sponsorship and funds to be used to support the campus organization.
