Oliver Davis Cundiff, of Vinton, died Tuesday, March 20, 1990 at Lewis Gale Hospital after a long illness. He was a member of Shady Grove Baptist Church and a retired employee of Greyhound and an active realtor of Triplett Realty Company. He was a veteran of World War II and a 32nd Degree Mason. He was a member of Vinton Masonic Lodge #204 A.F. & A.M., the Scottish Rite Bodies and Kazim Shrine Temple, also U.C.T. of America. He is survived by his wife, Gladys Cundiff; son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Tina Cundiff, Botetourt County; stepson and daughter-in-law, Steven R. and Mary Hawkins, Roanoke; stepdaughter and son-in-law, Lisa and Jeremy Goldstone, Champagne, Ill.; granddaughter, Angela Cundiff, Daleville; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Mrs. and Mrs. Percy Blount, Stewartsville; Mr. and Mrs. Robert Holdren, Bedford; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Cundiff, Vinton; Mrs. and Mrs. Boyd Cundiff, Stewartsville; a host of nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday from the Lotz Vinton Chapel with the Rev. Elmer Sellers and the Rev. Jessie Chance officiating. Interment to follow in Sherwood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday at the Lotz Vinton Chapel.
