ROANOKE SCHOOLS PLAN MAGNET FAIR

Roanoke city schools will hold their first Magnet Fair on Saturday in downtown Roanoke. The fair will advertise the programs in the city's magnet schools.

Booths will be set up with information about elementary, middle and high school magnet programs. Teachers and students also will be available to talk about the programs, which include instruction in math, computers, language, arts, high technology and aviation.

Musical and dance groups also will perform.

The fair will be from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on the top floor of the City Market Building. The public is invited and admission will be free.
