REGIONAL ARTISTS' UNIT UNDER CONSIDERATION

Plans for a regional artists' organization will be made SundayM at the Washington County Public Library at 2 p.m.

Members of the Southwest Virginia Artists' Association, Art and Soul of Richlands and the former William King Artists' Association planned the meeting, which is free and open to all area artists, art educators and arts supporters.

Work by watercolorist Georgia Blanchard of Kingsport, Tenn., spinner Katie McLaughlin of Tazewell and art educator Alice Harrington from Mountain Empire Community College at Big Stone Gap, will be presented as part of a discussion about the artistic process.
