CLIMATOLOGIST TO SPEAK AT CLINCH VALLEY COLLEGE

Virginia's state climatologist will speak at Clinch Valley College April 5 on science and politics of global warming at 1 p.m.

Patrick J. Michaels, named to the state post in 1980 by then-Gov. John Dalton, is a University of Virginia associate professor of environmental science. He has testified before the House of Representatives subcommittee on energy and power, the Senate Foreign Relations Committee and the State Department Foreign Service Institute.

His lecture is open to the public at no cost.
