GOVERNMENT ERRORS COSTLY

A FASTER route from Roanoke to Blacksburg? What a novel idea! To the best of my knowledge, the distance between the two has always been the same. I suppose when God created the mountains he didn't take into consideration that Tech commuters might not want to take an extra 15 minutes to go around them. What a foolish oversight on his part!

We are sick of hearing and reading about government solutions to a problem that government created. It has known for years that it was overloading existing roadways by approving new building and expansion in those areas.

For how much longer must we, the citizens, pay for government's mistakes? For how much longer are Montgomery County residents going to be pushed aside and made to suffer for the "greater good" of Tech? Yes. There are advantages to having that facility in our county. However, how many landowners whose property will be taken or whose lives will be affected by this project will see or ever benefit from those advantages?
