COLLEGE GRANTED STATUS BY NURSES' ASSOCIATION

The Department of Continuing Education at the College of Health Sciences has received continuing-education approval from the Virginia Nurses' Association. The college has been granted provider status for a two-year period.

Continuing-education programs offered by the college now will offer contact hours approved by the nurses' association instead of continuing-education units. These contact hours will enable nurses to maintain their specialized certifications.
