BLACKSBURG TEACHER RECEIVES FELLOWSHIPS

Delores Grapsas, a teacher at Blacksburg High School has been awarded full fellowships to study this summer at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh and at the State University of New York at Stony Brook, N.Y.

The fellowships are designed to allow secondary school teachers to enhance their knowledges of various aspects of American history.

Grapsas is chairman of the Social Studies Department and teaches American History to Advanced Placement and College Prep juniors. She is also faculty sponsor of the Blacksburg High School All Around Academic Team.
