AMPHITHEATER WANTS TO MATCH STATE FUNDING

The state has awarded a $30,000 grant for upgrading the facilities at The Long Way Home amphitheater. The Long Way Home's board of directors is asking for donations from local citizens to match the state's funding.

Plans are to enlarge the stage and stage house, build new restrooms and a new sign at the site of the annual outdoor drama. Donations of labor, construction materials or cash will be accepted.

The project design is available for viewing at Architectural Alternatives, 2807 South Main St., Suite 220, Blacksburg.

For more information, call Richard Buck at 639-3619, Bob Rogers at 552-1300 or Jody Bolen at 639-1447.
