COMMUNITY BAND SEEKS NEW MEMBERS

The Blacksburg Community Band, an organization sponsored by the Blacksburg Parks and Recreation Department, is having a membership drive through Friday. The band is open to anyone who has ever played or is playing an instrument. No auditions are necessary. The band practices each Wednesday from 7:30-9:30 p.m. in the Blacksburg High School band room. For more information, call Ron Gibbs in the evening at 953-2537.

The band will present a concert at 8 p.m., April 27, in the Blacksburg High School auditorium. The public is invited. There will be a donation admission of $1 at the door.
