OBIT-SHEPHERD, I.

SHEPHERD, IDA D.\ BLACKSBURG - Mrs. Ida Irene Dowdy Dove Shepherd, age 87, died Monday, March 26, 1990, at Montgomery Regional Hospital. She is survived by two daughters and son-in-law, Frances D. and John H. Shaver, Allene Linkous, all of Blacksburg; two sons and daughters-in-law, Ribble Heath and Barbara Shepherd, Duncan, Okla.; Howard Taft and Janet Shepherd, Baltimore, Md.; one brother, Cecil Dowdy, Blacksburg; ten grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Funeral services will be Thursday, March 29, 2:00 p.m. at Hoy-McCoy Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Raymond Powers will officiate. Interment will follow in the Dowdy Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Hoy-McCoy Funeral Home.
