MAN FOUND INNOCENT BY REASON OF INSANITY

A man charged with the shotgun slayings of his father and his nephew was found innocent Tuesday by reason of insanity.

After determining that Robert Edward Heath, 47, has chronic mental illnesses and could kill again, Hanover County Circuit Judge Richard H.C. Taylor ordered him to be held in Central State Psychiatric Hospital for an unspecified time.

Gerald E. Heath, 80, and Kenneth Wayne Johnson, 26, were killed June 7 at the Heath family residence. Heath was arrested a week later at a bus station in Fort Lauderdale, Fla.
