THERAPIST TO GIVE WORKSHOP AT ST. ALBANS

Bernie Siegel M.D., author of "Love, Medicine and Miracles" will present a workshop Thursday April 5 at St. Albans Hospital in Radford. The cost for the workshop is $70 and includes conference materials, breaks, lunch and registration. The title of the conference is "The Psychology of Illness and the Art of Healing."

Siegel founded Exceptional Cancer Patients in New Haven, Conn., a therapy and healing program. His work with patients led to his writing "Love, Medicine and Miracles" and "Peace, Love and Healing." He also works with AIDS patients and other critically ill people.

Siegel's method includes exploring the roles of hope, love, spirituality and unconscious beliefs in the healing process, and he focuses on the works of Carl Jung, Milton Erickson and Woody Allen.

Advance registration and payment is required. For a registration form, call the Community Relations Department at St. Albans, 639-5808.
