ARMED BANDIT ROBS GAS STATION

An armed bandit wearing a skeleton mask robbed a Plantation Road service station late Wednesday evening, authorities said.

The suspect entered Plantation Road Texaco & Gift Shop at 10:21 p.m., said Sgt. M.L. Linkous of the Roanoke County Sheriff's Department.

The bandit demanded cash from the register, showed a handgun to the two clerks on duty and fled on foot.
