5 INMATES MISTAKENLY RELEASED FROM CENTER

Officials at the Prince William County Jail say five prisoners were mistakenly released from the detention center in the last eight weeks.

Jail Superintendent Richard Kiekbusch Wednesday said that four of the five inmates have been returned to custody, while one remains at large.

According to a law enforcement official who asked not to be identified, the prisoner who remains at large has been charged in connection with fondling youths and is believed to be in Texas.

Kiekbusch says most of the inmates were out of the jail for periods ranging from "several hours to several days."
