PARRIS TO RUN AGAIN FOR SEAT IN CONGRESS

Rep. Stan Parris, R-Va., calling his probable opponent a "Massachusetts type liberal," has announced he will seek a seventh term in Congress.

Parris, who represents Northern Virginia's 8th District, is likely to be opposed by Alexandria Mayor James P. Moran Jr., a Democrat.

Parris, a 60-year-old lawyer, was first elected to Congress in 1972. Voted out of office after one term, he returned to the House in 1980 and has remained there since.
