GARDEN CLUB COUNCIL ELECTS NEW OFFICERS

Leta Beavers has been elected to a second term as president of the Roanoke Council of Garden Clubs. She is a member of the Dig and Dream and the Forest Lawn garden clubs.

Council vice presidents are Betty Reggia, North Lakes Garden Club; Jo Carter, Valleevue Garden Club; and Joann Hazelgrove, Roanoke Valley Garden Club. Dorothy Boyd of the Dig and Dream club is recording secretary, and Jean Cook of the Hillandale club is corresponding secretary. Genevieve Waring of the South Hills Club is treasurer. Dossie Martin of the Westchester club is the flower show chairman.

New members of the board of directors are Margaret Baker and Elizabeth Sowder.
