OBIT LAFOON

Miss Edna Irene LaFoon, age 81, passed away Thursday, March 29, 1990 at Friendship Manor Convalescent Center. She was a longtime member of Melrose Baptist Church and a retired employee of Leggetts. She is survived by a brother and sister-in-law, Bernice N. and Margaret W. LaFoon; two nieces, Mrs. Maxine V. Stacy, Salem; Mrs. Cynthia L. Hamblett, Vinton; four nephews, Edward T. Via, Newsom E. Via, Jr., both of Roanoke; Robert C. LaFoon, Surfside, S.C.; Dennis L. LaFoon, Raleigh, N.C.; also ten great-nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted from Oakey's North Chapel 2:30 p.m. Saturday, March 31, 1990 with the Rev. Larry Sprouse officiating. Interment will be in Evergreen Burial Park. Friends may call at Oakey's North Chapel.
