Floyd T. Boitnott, age 80, of Roanoke County, died March 29, 1990 at his home. He was retired from John W. Eshelman after 42 years of service. He was a member and Deacon Emeritus at Cave Spring Baptist Church. Surviving are his wife, Juanita F. Boitnott, Roanoke; son and daughter-in-law, Murrill and Deborah Boitnott, Miami, Fla.; two daughters and sons-in-law, Sybil and Bob Mickey, Nancy and Cecil King, all of Roanoke; seven grandchildren; one brother, Lloyd Boitnott, Boones Mill; one sister, Miss Ethel Boitnott, Salem; a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held at Cave Spring Baptist Church 2:00 p.m. Monday with Dr. Gordon W. Grimes and the Rev. Murrill Boitnott officiating. Interment will follow in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Cave Spring Baptist Church building fund or Gideons International. The family will receive friends at Oakey's South Chapel from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. "Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his saints" Psalm 116:15.
