WADDELL, THOMAS H., SR.\ SALTVILLE, VA - Thomas Holmes Waddell, Sr., age 76, died Thursday, March 29, 1990 in Bristol Regional Medical Center. He was a retired officer of Camp 24, Moneta, VA., VA Dept. of Corrections, and a native of the Smyth County Community of Chatham Hill, VA. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Annie Anderson Waddell, Saltville; three sons, Thomas H. Waddell, Jr.; Harold W. Waddell, both of Saltville; and Edgar S. Waddell, Atkins; two daughters, Mrs. K.B. (Rita) Repass, Marion; and Mrs. Paul (Phyllis) Lamie, Saltville; 12 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Sunday at 2:00 p.m. at Ridgedale United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Donnie Farmer, the Rev. Mike Sage, the Rev. Rick Beam, and the Rev. Mike Purdy officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Active Pallbearers, Ronnie Waddle, Wayne Waddle, Johnny Waddle, Danny Waddle, Lee Waddle, Wayne Evans, Ralph Edwards, and Jerry Yates. Honorary Pallbearers, Carl Carter, Gilmer Anderson, Tommy Waddle, Carl Atwell, Bill Cook, Darr Compton, Lanny Tolbert, Alvah Waddle, Elbert Tibbs, Casper Cregger, Wallace Cregger, and Alvis Atwell. The family will receive friends on Saturday evening from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the Seaver-Brown Chapel.
