McCONNELL, RYLAND P.\ NEW CASTLE - Ryland Price McConnell, age 76, died in a Clifton Forge nursing home, Friday. Survivors include his wife, Artie Rose McConnell, New Castle; two daughters, Mrs. Eloise Crowder, Covington; Mrs. Norma Jean Storey, Columbus, Ga.; four sons, Kenneth McConnell, Bonsack; Wayne McConnell, Fincastle; Everett McConnell and Herman McConnell, both of Covington; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. Funeral services will be Sunday at 2:00 p.m. at the Mount Pleasant United Methodist Church. Burial at the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday evening from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the Eagle Rock Funeral Home.
