THREE YOUTHS CHARGED IN DEATH OF HENRICO FAMILY

Three Richmond-area teens charged with killing three members of a Henrico County family were arrested Saturday in Goochland County, police said.

At a brief news conference, Henrico police said Steven Eugene Rea and Christopher M. Palmer, both 16, and Jackie Lynn Kulp, 14, are charged with capital murder in the shooting deaths last week. They are to be arraigned Monday.

Police made only a brief statement Saturday and would not release details of the investigation.

Police had searched for the trio since a neighbor found the bodies of Larry W. Walker, 42, Emily B. Walker, 40, and Larry E. "Eddie" Walker, 17, in the Walkers' home Monday.

The teens were found late Saturday morning asleep in Eddie Walker's 1989 silver Camaro parked at the Westview boat ramp in Goochland County. Police said an unidentified caller tipped authorities that the car was at the ramp.

A national alert had been issued for the three teen-agers, who police thought were heading for Port St. Lucie, Fla., in Eddie Walker's car. Rea's mother lives in Florida.

Rea and Palmer are friends of the Walker's younger son, 14-year-old Chris, the only surviving family member. Chris Walker has been confined to the Bon Air Learning Center since March 6.
