GRASS-ROOTS APPEAL IN LANDFILL FIGHT

FOR MORE than two years, legislators, lawyers and landfill neighbors have been unable to control certain landfills. Perhaps a huge grass-roots appeal will help. Our goal is to legally halt dumping of out-of-state refuse anywhere in Virginia.

If we all express ourselves as concerned citizens, perhaps our elected officials will feel bound to continue writing new laws and then enforcing them with serious fines for violators. Only then can we stop land owners from collecting huge payments from the truckers dumping their garbage here.
