Mrs. Ocie Inez Tinsley Epperly, age 81, of 735 Spruce Street, Vinton, went to
be with the Lord Sunday morning, April 1, 1990. She was the widow of Claude W.
Epperly and was a member of the Blue Ridge Baptist Church. Surviving are two
daughters and sons-in-law, Jeanette and Robert Ingwersen, Roanoke; Linda and
Tommy Hurt, Vinton; two granddaughters, Kimberly Ingwersen, Roanoke; Jean
Ingwersen, Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; six grandsons, Tommy W. Hurt, Winston-Salem,
N.C.; Brian W. Hurt, Michael Hurt, Jamie Hurt, Joshua Hurt, and Justin Hurt,
all of Vinton; one great-grandson, Derek Hurt, Winston-Salem, N.C.; two
brothers, Benjamin H. Tinsley, Brodie O. Tinsley, both of Roanoke; two
sisters, Mrs. Gladys Thurman and Mrs. Geneva Peters, both of Roanoke. Funeral
services will be at Oakey's Vinton Chapel at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday with the Rev.
Lon Hicks and the Rev. Tommy Hurt officiating. Interment will be in the Blue
Ridge Memorial Gardens. Friends may call at Oakey's Vinton Chapel.
