PROMOTING SEXUAL ACTIVITY IN SCHOOLS

I HAVE BEEN wondering what the General Assembly will do to serve the needs of the people, young and old, of Virginia. Carolyn Reas of Roanoke sent each legislator a copy of a letter from a doctor in Portsmouth. It stated that the Family Life Education program promoted sexual activity rather than decreasing it and was filled with risks in the health area.

Every parent and assembly member should understand, if they have any compassion for the welfare of students in Virginia schools. But nothing has happened to stop the sexual saturation of students.

Since fornication is unlawful among students and other individuals in Virginia, why has the General Assembly ignored that sexual activity is being promoted in the public schools?\ GERALDINE V. CURRIER\ ROANOKE
