LANES IN SALEM CLOSING ON VIRGINIA 419

Beginning today, traffic in the southbound lanes of Virginia 419 will be restricted to one lane between the Boulevard and Apperson Drive in Salem.

The lanes will be closed during the application of a new latex-modified concrete surface on the bridge over the railroad tracks.

The project should be completed in about six weeks and will result in long delays for motorists during peak traffic periods, officials said.
