WOMAN CHARGED IN HUSBAND'S STABBING

A 20-year-old Galax woman has been charged with stabbing her husband in the neck with a butcher knife Friday evening.

Penny Cochran is charged in the malicious wounding of J.D. Cochran, who was transported to a Winston-Salem, N.C., hospital, a Grayson County Sheriff's Department spokesman said.

Cochran is listed in satisfactory condition, according to a hospital spokesman.
