Mr. William Everett Lancaster, age 78, of Bent Mountain, died Sunday, April 1, 1990 in a Salem Hospital. He was a member of Floyd Presbyterian Church where he had been an Elder. He was an auto mechanic and retired from the City of Roanoke. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Stella S. Lancaster; son and daughter-in-law, Robert A. and Sheila L. Lancaster, Daleville; daughter and son-in-law, Martha M. and Douglas W. Hunley, Roanoke; four grandchildren, Mrs. Carolyn L. Reed, Blue Ridge; Mr. William C. Lancaster, Norfolk, Mrs. Sherry M. Ulrich, Roanoke; Mr. Jonathan W. Hunley, Roanoke; great-grandson, James Robert Reed, Blue Ridge; two brothers, Rev. Lawrence T. Lancaster, Greenville, Tenn.; Mr. Ben. H. Lancaster, Jr., Gainesville, Ga.; three sisters, Mrs. Johnie H. (Mildred) Dempsey, Martinsville; Mrs. George L. (Dorothy) Hundley, Martinsville; Mrs. Herman L. (Elizabeth) Phillips, Radford; sister-in-law, Mrs. Katie Craddock Lancaster, Martinsville. Funeral services will be conducted from Lotz Roanoke Chapel at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 4, 1990 with the Rev. Robert S. Link, the Rev. H. Fleet Powell and the Rev. David A. Kirk officiating. Interment in Sherwood Memorial Park. Friends may call at Lotz Roanoke Chapel.
