The Rescue Mission filed a lawsuit last year that accused the bank of not detecting the actions of Bonnie Dawn Cummings, a former bookkeeper who forged nearly $30,000 in mission checks to her name.
The suit was the first public accusation against Cummings, who later was convicted in U.S. District Court of embezzlement and sentenced to 30 months in prison.
Mission officials have been unable to recover the money, and had hoped to claim it from the bank.
The settlement did not disclose how much money - if any - the mission received from the bank. Mission and bank officials declined to comment on the settlement.
