BOBBITT, HARRY M.\ HARDY - Mr. Harry Monroe Bobbitt, age 82, of Route 3, died Monday, April 2, 1990, at his home. He was born August 22, 1907, son of the late Beverly Robert Bobbitt and Lucy Fannie Pagans Bobbitt. He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Mary Louise Bobbitt. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Ola Perdue Bobbitt of the residence; three sons and two daughters-in-law, Clyde and Valera Bobbitt, Gilbert Lee and Shirley Bobbitt and Junior Monroe Bobbitt, all of Hardy; four daughters and sons-in-law, Gracie and Willie Dillon of Hardy; Ruby and Robert Rankin of Vinton; Betty and Kenneth Underwood of Roanoke; Nellie and Curtis Mills of Hardy; fourteen grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Tennie Pagans of Hardy; one brother, Harvey Bobbitt of Salem. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday at 2:00 p.m. at the Arrington-Bussey Funeral Chapel by the Rev. Clayton Leonard and the Rev. Scott McClain. Burial will follow in the Epworth United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the Arrington-Bussey Funeral Home in Rocky Mount.
