RU, SCIENCE MUSEUM PLAN ASTRONOMY COURSE

Radford University and the Science Museum of Western Virginia in downtown Roanoke will offer "Basic Classroom Astronomy" for three hours of graduate credit toward state teaching certification in science.

Beginning this monday and running through the third week in June, the class will emphasize practical observational skills and hands-on activities.

Persons currently teaching in Virginia public schools and working toward science endorsement can receive Title II tuition wavers.

For others, tuition is $270.

Registration and an introductory class will be April 20, 4:30-8:30 p.m., at the science museum. Regular classes will begin April 26.
