LAKE AGENCY SEEKS RECREATION AUTHORITY

The Rural Retreat Lake Authority will ask Wythe County and the towns of Wytheville and Rural Retreat, at a joint meeting April 30, to consider forming a countywide recreation authority that could run the lake and other recreational facilities.

That would mean the lake authority would be dissolved and its duties handled by the authority.

Work is planned on a bath house in the lake campgrounds and on the swimming pool before the lake opens this year.
