CHAUTAUQUA FESTIVAL NAMED TOP 20 EVENT

The Southeast Tourism Society has named Wytheville's annual Chautauqua Festival as one of its Top 20 Events in the Southeastern United States.

Wythe Arts Council Ltd., which sponsors the Chautauqua activities June 16-24, has received a plaque in recognition of the honor and has it on display in the Chautauqua office on Spring Street.

The Top 20 Events appear in large daily newspapers and are sent to travel magazines and tourism media.
