DANCERS TO PERFORM AT EMORY & HENRY

The Emory & Henry College Dance Company will present a spring concert April 12 at 8 p.m. in Wiley Hall with three dances choreographed by company director Cathy Hayes.

A contemporary segment titled "Echos," set to the music of the group U2, features Emory students Leigh Ann Skeens, Debbie Miles, Julie Ann Ferguson and Roese Scharer.

"A Midsummer's Nightmare" is a fantasy-comedy ballet with music by Grieg, featuring Hayes, John Rice of Abingdon and James Houston of Virginia Highlands Community College.

Jazz dance "Fiesta del Sol" features Skeens, Miles, Ferguson, Scharer, Lisa McCollough of Abingdon and Virginia Highlands student Anabella Trompeta.

Also appearing will be the State of Franklin Dance Alliance, directed by Karen Gibbons-Brown, in several variations from the "Sleeping Beauty" ballet.
