OBIT SMITH, L.

PEMBROKE - Lillie Gray Smith, age 79, died Wednesday morning at her home. A native of Narrows, Va., she is the daughter of the late Henry and Nannie Tawney Hare. She was preceded in death by one son, Calvin A. Smith, and was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Surviving are her husband, Erie A. Smith; four sons, Donald E. Smith, Christiansburg; Jerry M. Smith, Newport; Erie A. Smith, Pearisburg; Lowell L. Smith, Pembroke; four daughters, Margaret Price, Blacksburg; Linda Radford, Pembroke; Judy Raines, Newport; Bonita Mitchem, Blacksburg; one sister, Lyda Cumbee, Blacksburg; sixteen grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted Friday at 2:00 p.m. in the New River Ward of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Pembroke, Va. Burial will be in Birchlawn Burial Park, Pearisburg. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. Thursday evening. The Williams-Jamison-Kendall Funeral Home, Pembroke is in charge of arrangements.
